Entry 3- Scarecrow Girl

This lesson, we learnt about photoshopping people to look "better" and "perfect". For example, we learnt about cloning, liquifying and etc.

For my practice work, I downloaded a picture of a beautiful model off of Britannica to transform her into a supernatural being. I first got rid of one her moles with a cloning tool, just to get the taste of what I'm working with. This was done by clicking the stamp button, and then pressing option key while clicking the part I wanted to clone. After that, I simply "coloured" / "drew" on top of the mole. To make the disappearance of her mole seem natural, I tried to use the same skin tone as the ones near her mole. Next, with the same process, I cloned a part of her skin to get rid of her mouth. Again, with the same process, I option clicked on her eye with a big brush, and then cloned her eye on top of her forehead, making it seem as if she had a third eye. For the finishing touch, I dyed her hair pink and changed her skin colour to pale green, before adding some yarns to make it seem as if she had stitches like a scarecrow. Overall, I'm pretty satisfied with my piece, but next time, I would like to make the yarns seem more natural. Maybe by adding darker shadows underneath the yarn, it may make it appear better and unified.
