Entry 8 - Park

I filmed at the park today because of the lyrics.

1. The first shot is of me walking towards the tree because I am guessing that's where a bird would be as said by in my lyrics. The park that I chose was the perfect place because there was also a street light right under the tree, which created light for me. Furthermore, it made my shot appear as if I'm reaching out for the light when in fact, I'm reaching out for the bird. One thing that I don't like about this shot is that it doesn't end with the street light in the middle, but stops just before that. This makes it seem as if it's been abruptly cut. However, I retook the shot, so it's all chill.

2. This shot is a shot of me reaching out for the light. It was hard for me to position the camera, as I just wanted the hand in the shot, just enough for it to not appear big but also not too small. I had to use my dad's hand for this because I was shooting it. I love the light flare in this shot, it makes the whole thing look heaven like.

3. This shot is of me retracting my hand from the light and then running backwards because I'm scared of the past memories. I'm on the line of third, and I like my glass has a light on it and also that its shadows cast onto my face.  I also like the shadows on my hand from the fingers. It makes it seem as if the light is kind, but touching it will make me be consumed by my own shadows.

4. I reshot the previous shot closer because I wanted more negative spacing. It also made me look more trapped.

5. This shot is of me running. I can't really have an explanation for this because I'm literally running with a camera following me. However, I can say how much I hate this shot because it's too shaky and I'm moving around from the position of the frame too much.

6. This shot is of me on a swing in a slightly canted angle. The shot isn't really interesting because there's no shadow on it because I used no light. This creates a lot of noise for the shot, precisely the reason why I shot it again. However, this time I didn't have a canted angle and I placed myself too in the middle. I don't really like this shot.

7. This shot is a close-up shot of me looking to the right. I had to reshoot this several times because I was either not in the right position or the lighting didn't work out.

8. This shot is a long shot of me staring at a swing that's moving by itself. I thought that I could use this to show the relation between the girl and the swing.

9. This shot is a high to the low angle of me getting off the swing. I wanted to shoot this shot because of the shadows cast onto the ground. I wanted to show the swing starting to move by itself when I reverse it. However, I'm not too sure because I also like how I'm leaving the swing.

All my shots had a lot of noise in it because I shot it in the night time. I had noise even if I used the LED light, as there were places where the light wouldn't touch. Especially for the swing, I had a lot of noise in this shot, because I couldn't really move the position of the LED light, so the noise had to stay. It's a visibly cringe shot.
