Entry 6 - Parking Lot and outside
Today I shot a scene in the parking lot, as I thought an abandoned parking lot would suit the theme of being abandoned. I also shot outside just for extra shots to use when needed.
1. The first shot is a long shot. It starts off panning to show that there's no sign of life in the parking lot other than me. I like the shadow casted onto the ground from this shot, and I could emphasise it underexposing the shot. However, I don't like the I walk in from out of the frame to the middle of the shot. I wish I could have walked a little bit more to the right.
2. This shot is of me walking towards the car from outside the frame but this time I'm shot out of the frame after I stop walking, which was not the plan. Furthermore, whilst making the shot, I realised that there was a camera in the car, which would make this whole filming illegal so I stopped trying to shoot more stuff.
3. This shot is of me walking towards the disabled sign and then touching it. I did this as a sign of weakness to symbolise that I feel, trapped. I like that this shot is in a slight canted angle and that I'm lowering down, which shows my sign of weakness. However, I'm afraid that people might take personal offence to this like they did with Kylie Jenner, so I might not use this shot.
4. This shot is a close up shot of my hand touching the disabled parking shot, so that my shots don't go for too long.
5. I shot this shot because I thought that it would suit the aesthetics of me walking around places. I like how it's first not in focus and then goes to focus. It seems as if I'm finally getting my stuff together. I like how I'm also walking by, but since I'm not in focus, you can't tell that's me. It makes me feel like a no one.
6. This shot is of me walking and then looking backwards. It's a medium shot. I had to shoot this a couple of times because I couldn't tell if everything was in focus or not since I filmed it by myself. However, I like this shot because I'm looking back at the past, and straight into the camera. It's like questioning the viewers.
