Entry 7 - Dialogue
Since our group didn't want to waste time, Dayna did the shot list, I did the storyboard and Sarah did the dialogue.
*Opening scene*
NARRATOR: It started off a bright and sunny day, it should have been filled with children playing and laughing with joy under the warm summer sun, but for Charlotte, this was not the case. For her world had just shattered into a million pieces.
*Grave stones scene*
DIGGER: He didn't see it coming.
CHARLOTTE: Who didn't?
DIGGER: Him (pointing to grave)
CHARLOTTE: See what coming?
DIGGER: The dark entity within her. He should have known better, but now he's payed the price. (creepy riddle)
CHARLOTTE: (repeats riddle)
*Red leaving*
NARRATOR: Charlotte, puzzled by what the stranger had said to her, and by what she had seen slowly walked home as the sunny blue sky was attacked by the devious darkness that was desperate to prove itself.
*Home scene in kitchen - gran cooking dinner and humming same tune*
GRAN: Charlotte, what on earth kept you?
CHARLOTTE: Sorry gran.
GRAN: Just make sure it doesn't happen again, okay?
CHARLOTTE: Yes gran.
GRAN: Oh and Charlotte, I've made you a lunch for tomorrow.
CHARLOTTE: Tomorrow? What's tomorrow?
GRAN: School of course.
*In bedroom looking at pictures*
CHARLOTTE: (sobbing -quietly mumbles) daddy, I miss you.
*After finding other half of the picture*
CHARLOTTE: Best weekend with my older brother Jack.
*hears the same whistle and follows it*
*Charlotte goes downstairs*
CHARLOTTE: Gran, tell me again, what happened to my dad?
GRAN: Honestly Charlotte, I've told you a thousand times. He was in a car accident.
CHARLOTTE: Right. Right. And he didn't have any other family members, a sister..or even a brother?
GRAN: No! Where is this coming from Charlotte?
CHARLOTTE: I was just curious. ..... I found a picture today of dad ... and his brother Jack. I thought you said dad didn't have any siblings.
GRAN: You what?
CHARLOTTE: I know you killed my dad! How could you? Your own son. I found Uncle Jack's grave stone too, did you kill him as well?
GRAN: I did what I had to. They got in my way, so I had no choice, but to get rid of them. I did what I had to.
CHARLOTTE: But why would you kill them?
GRAN: Before your grandfather died, we had gotten a divorce and he left a great deal of money to your father and uncle. But I deserve that money just as much as they did, your grandfather put me through years of hell and didn't leave me a single cent. But now Charlotte, you and I have enough money to live a better life. A happy life.
CHARLOTTE: A happy life? Are you serious? I never even got the chance to get to know my uncle, I didn't even know I had an uncle until today. You killed my father and my uncle!!!
*There is a struggle between Charlotte and Gran, Charlotte kills gran*
CHARLOTTE: What ugly eyes you have, unlike dads beautiful eyes
What stubby fingers you have, unlike dads perfectly shaped fingers
What grey hair you have, unlike dads slick brown hair
What a small heart you have, unlike dads big heart
NARRATOR: So in the end, Charlotte got revenge for her father and uncles' death.
This is no ordinary story. In fact, it is widely known by many. For this is the story of how Charlotte got the name Little Red Riding Hood. Shhh.

GRAN: Sorry Charlotte, but you're going to school and thats final.
CHARLOTTE: But-but Gran
GRAN: No buts. You're going to school and that is all there is to it!!! Now go to your room.
CHARLOTTE: (eyes tearing up, sad, yet confused look) Yes gran.
GRAN: Oh don't be so stupid, you can't miss school, why on earth would you want to do that
CHARLOTTE: Well because of (hesitation) of everything thats happened. I just need to have a few days to myself
GRAN: Sorry Charlotte, but you're going to school and thats final.
CHARLOTTE: But-but Gran
