Entry 17 - New Edward and Cabinet

Creating Edward was a lot easier than creating Jane, as there wasn't a specific design that I was going for.

For the blazer, I used a template. I simply printed the template out to the size I wanted the blazer to be and cut the fabric out following it. I then put it on the doll. Getting a white piece of fabric, I placed it on the front side of the doll, and then hot glued the blazer's front side onto it. This way, I didn't have to sew. I then added two gold roses at the front as a button.

For the pants, I really just cut out a shape of pants and sew it together.

The hair wasn't that hard as well, I repeated the same step as Jane. I got some black clay and put it all over his head where I wanted the hair to be. I then added some black threads to it.

I also made a cabinet for the diary to be placed on.

Using a shoe box that I did not need anymore, I drew a template of a rectangle with tabs on it. I then used a box cutter to cut out that template. For the folds, I went over them with the box cutter, with just enough strength to create a cut, but not enough to actually cut it out. I then folded them to make a rectangular prism. I used hot glue gun to glue the tabs on to the rectangle so that the rectangular prism actually maintained its shape.

On the front of the rectangular prism, I roughly drew some rectangles to see where and how big I wanted the drawers. After cutting out the drawers and glueing them on with hot glue gun, I painted it over with brown acrylic paint.

That's all.
