Entry 7.5 - Ideas

The idea that I ended up going with was a mask party and how one of them is not really a human being, a monster to be exact. In a masked party, it's pretty obvious that people would be masked. Masked parties were a common theme in the victorian ages, which I wanted to do. It would also be nice if the person can take off their mask one point in the film, as I can make that symbolise something. However, I'm not quite sure how I would make the dress, as Victorian dresses are complicated, especially in a masked party.

The idea for my film is a girl and a boy meeting at a masked party and then one of them "betraying" one another in a gory way. I want to show some background to the reason why one of them betrayed the other so that the viewers can fully understand the idea of the film. Last term, I overheard someone saying that my animation was confusing and weird, which was kind of disappointing and rude. This term, I want to focus on the idea of people understanding it, so that I don't get roasted again.

The idea that I have right now is using claymation, as that would allow me to make only 2 figures and then just move it from there on. It might be kind of hard, as I tried to make clay figures for robotics, and it did not stand at all. I might make it lean on a wall.
