Entry 7 - Story Plot
Today I tried drawing a drawing board for my idea. I had a “story block”, as I realised that the song I chose had a really long intro. I didn’t really think this through, so I had little to no idea on what to do for it. How would I relate it to the song? How do I give out a story with a repetitive tune? After everything, I decided to just draw out those cliché introducing of when people meet for the first time. There eyes meeting and then the “chemistry” happening. After that, I didn’t really have any problem with drawing them out.
I lost the storyboard that I drew, so I’m just going to briefly explain the story plot.
A girl and a boy meet at a masquerade party.
The boy shows a signal of interest to the girl first by making clear eye contact and a suggestive gesture, such as bringing his glass up.
The girl turns around to see him and does the same action as he did.
The boy walks towards a piano and sits on it.
A girl walks towards the piano, but not too close, about a metre apart with one hand on wrapping her hips while the other holds the glass.
They are running in the hallway.
They arrive at a room and there is tension.
They share a brief kiss.
The boy tries to take her mask off, but she doesn’t let him.
The boy asks why, but she just turns around and ignores him.
The boy angrily leaves the room.
The boy finds a mysterious cabinet with a diary on top.
Boy reads it.
Some flashback/storytelling of the diary with the girl in it.
Turns out the girl is dead and he’s surprised.
He looks up to see a painting of the girl he made a move on.
He turns back to see the girl.
He backs up, but the girl kills him.
The painting turns monstrous.
The girl goes after the camera.
In summary, centuries ago, there was a sweet maiden girl named Jane, who had a lover that she dearly loved. The lover, however, didn’t feel the same way and decided to break it off with her for another woman. This lead on to her being driven crazy, and later committing suicide to end her pain. Her hatred, however, was so strong that she revived into a monster that hunts down men after seducing them. Before death, she recorded everything in her Diary.
After centuries, a masquerade party is yet again held at the girl’s mansion, but this time, the victim of that night’s death is the man, who's named is Edward. Edward finds Jane attractive, but to Jane, he’s just another dead man. Edwards makes a move on Jane, and Jane acts as if she’s interested. Edward then walks towards the paint and plays a song for her, trying to impress and woo her. Jane walks towards Edward, and after the song, they run away into a secluded hallway.
Edward tries to take off her mask, to see her face, but Jane declines and turns away. Edward then asks why she doesn’t want to show her face, but Jane just ignores him. Frustrated, Edward runs off far away, and he finds a memorial, with a diary on top. Curious, Edward reads through the diary and finds out that Jane is actually dead. Edward then tries to run away from the mansion but finds Jane standing right behind him.
Jane kills him without a second thought.
